Grove, Erickson to Call for Immunization Law Passage


Officials from several veterans’ advocacy organizations will join Representative Seth Grove and Senator Ted Erickson at the Main Capitol Rotunda, on Monday September 30th at noon, to call for quick passage of legislation allowing children ages 7 to 18 to be vaccinated by their local pharmacist.

Friday Happy Hour: We Got Your Health Care Edition


Before we commence with the Friday the 13th nonsense, we’d like to once again remind our loyal readers that the Flight 93 Memorial is tantalizingly close to reaching its fundraising goal, with only $1.7 million (of a total of $70 million) left to go.  As we observed the 12th anniversary of 9/11, we shared with our Facebook friends a video we shot in Somerset County last year, which you can find here.

The Medical Home Model may sound confusing, but in reality it is very simple.  The backbone of the model is health care professionals all working together to supplement the health and wellness of the patient.  It is simply a system of interdisciplinary care where pharmacists, social workers, nurses and other professionals work with doctors to provide more complete care.

Flight 93 Memorial Just $1.7 Million Short of Fundraising Goal on its 12th Anniversary

The National Park Foundation announced the completion of a $40 million dollar fundraising campaign for the design and construction of the Flight 93 Memorial.  With more than 100,000 donors contributing to the fund, the donations have made it possible to construct the park’s Memorial Plaza, Wall of Names, 40 Memorial Groves and Field of Honor, and the major reforestation of the landscape. With the completion of the campaign, additional planned projects at the park can be constructed and completed.
