Lyft to offer free rides for breast cancer patients in October

Lyft-Look-7

With October as National Breast Cancer Awareness month, you may start to see bits of pink popping up in unusual places (think, football cleats). In an effort to help improve the daily lives of those fighting cancer, Lyft is doing something more.

Lyft and Ford Warriors in Pink® have teamed up to give up to 10,000 free rides to patients traveling to and from treatment. Dependable travel to treatment isn’t easy for many cancer patients because they are unable to drive after treatment, or public transit may not be available to them. For this reason, Lyft is encouraging individuals to give or claim a ride – making it that much easier for someone to get to necessary treatment.

If you want to take the effort to social media, for every tweet, Facebook or Instagram on how to make a hard day better with the hashtag #MoreGoodDays, Ford Warriors in Pink will donate 1 free ride to a breast cancer patient.

Already, Lyft has donated more than 3,500 rides. Help them get to 10,000!
